If you’re always trying to sell, you are seen as a salesman. If you’re giving information that helps people solve their problems, you’re seen as a consultant providing options to potential clients. The more information you give prospects the more trust and confidence you gain. Not to mention that once they discover your prices, it’s going to be much less of a sticking point. The reasoning being you’ve shown value for service. Like the old adage says – you have to Give to Get.
With this approach you quickly become the trusted advisor. And because you provided so much more value than the competition, because you’re right there in front of them, you become the only logical choice.
Another benefit is being able to give them the criteria for making a decision. With a FREE Special Report / Booklet, you can tell them exactly what they need, what to look out for, to be careful of discounters who may not be there for them when a problem occurs, to be wary of competition that doesn’t provide certain service levels, helpful exchange policies, that you provide loaner equipment when theirs breaks and so on. You get to set the tone. You get to set the bar. You get to dictate their expectations through the power of suggestion. And best of all, you get the sale.
